Donations

The Levittown Public Library accepts donations of like-new materials with the exception of VHS, magazines, encyclopedias, and textbooks. Donations are accepted Monday through Friday: 9:00 am – 4:30 pm. For more information, call (516) 731-5728 ext. 502.

The following organizations will also accept donations:

1. The Book Fairies, please contact us at: info@thebookfairies.org or call: 516-557-6645 to arrange a date to drop the books at our Freeport warehouse. Donations must be in copy paper sized boxes with lids or tops that fold closed. If you have more than 5 boxes, please contact us for a possible pick up. Our warehouse is located around the back of 70 North Main Street, Freeport.  We are open Tuesdays through Thursdays from 10am-3pm.  Please use the red donation bin for all after hours donations. https://thebookfairies.org/

      1. All age level books accepted from birth through adult
      2. Books published within the past 20 years
      3. Textbooks
      4. Activity books
      5. Cookbooks
      6. E-readers
   2. NOT Accepted Books
      1. Books with mildew, “old book” smell, moth ball, or cigarette smoke smell
      2. Books with ripped, torn or yellowed pages
      3. Encyclopedias
      4. Magazines

   1. We can only pick up the following: (Minimum of 1 Box)
      1. Books printed within the last 20 years
      2. Books in Very Good condition
      3. Textbooks
      4. DVDs/Blu-ray’s/CDs
      5. Video Games
      6. Audiobooks
   2. We do not pickup the following and cannot accept:
      1. Dictionaries/Encyclopedia Sets
      2. Magazines
      3. Vhs tapes
      4. Foreign language books
      5. Older/Antique books with no barcode
      6. Books with Moisture damage or covered in dust
